What Residual is

Residual provides human-gated residual attestation software records.

Residual records are software artefacts. They are not carbon credits, biodiversity net gain units, financial instruments, investments, dividends, or ownership titles.

Your evidence

Photos and other evidence you upload remain yours. Residual grants you a licence to use the software and the issued verification page for the records you create.

Your judgement

Customers remain responsible for their regulatory reporting and professional judgement. We do not guarantee CSRD, CBAM, Verra, or any other scheme acceptance.

The software is provided as a tool. We do not accept professional liability for the reviewer's judgement.

How a record is issued

Human gate decisions are made by an identified reviewer. Automated scores, if present, are evidence aids only and do not issue a record.

Issued records include a forbidden-claims list. Using a Residual record to assert a prohibited claim is a misuse of the software.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
